i can’t explain all the feelings that he makes me feel
my faith’s in overdrive cos God’s behind my steering wheel

praising you-hoo
blessing me-hee
praising you-hoo
cos you’re blessing me-hee

i believe in a thing called god
just listen to the rhythm of my prayer
there’s a chance to pray right now
we’ll be praising til the sun goes down

i wanna praise you every minute every hour of sunday
you’re watching over me so everything is a-ok

praying for me

we can’t get rid of you
praying’s just what we do
we don’t know who’s praying for who
cos everywhere we go you’re there
we can’t get you out of our hair
can’t pretend that you don’t care

he’s gonna forgive us for all our offences
i wanna sin but i’m afraid of the consequences
you want to banish sin from whence it came
but it’s a part of us now and we’ve only got ourselves to blame

you’re really praying for me
any fool can see

sleeping in an empty bed
at least until i get wed
i’ll have eternal life after i’m dead
just like the bible said

when we sin, we seek forgiveness
when there’s evil, you’ll always deliver us
you made us perfect, that’s how we are
cos we pray to you now with all our hearts

you’re really praying for me
any fool can see

Blood-stained Wall

2002-11-01 at 17:34 (poetry, spoof)

Today is gonna be the day
I’m gonna kill you, yea
By now you should have been dead
But I was on holiday.
Now I’m back I’m gonna shoot you
Right between the eyes, yea

Back beat, the word is on the street
That I’m back in town
I’ve just been, got ammunition
And bought myself a gun
I’m gonna use it and make a big hole
In your head, it’ll hurt (yea)

And all the bullets that hit your head
Will hurt you
And all the rounds I waste on you
Will cost me
There are many things that I
Would like to kill you with
But I chose a gun

I said maybe
I’ll change my mind and use a machete
But after all
It’s a blood-stained wall

(with Mark Jones, November 2002)
